It's a cold winter morning and I can't sleep...so inspired by a Spokane-based historian, I'm updating my website! Viva la notepad...(grin)....thought I'd updated this site in 2003---maybe I just updated the phone lists..oh well...
I'm now doing account consulting and assorted other things at ebrary in Palo Alto, California. I wear a lot of hats at this position. It is always a pleasant challenge to work there (I have to say this is the most eclectic group I've ever worked with) and have learned a lot from my co-workers and customers.
Want to know a little more about me? Here is my resume.
I am going to update the phone lists---please bear with me....
The 408 split means that most of Santa Clara County is in the 408 area code...for those in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito counties, here is an 831 listing. The phone companies are no longer giving out blocks of numbers in huge chunks (10,000). Makes it a bit harder to categorize, along with cell number portability. I'll still keep denoting by base source. Those in the 831 will not be affected yet by cell number portability.
I have created a list of prefixes in the Tri-County area which started all of this website stuff WAY BACK in 1996---San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura County now comprise 99% of the 805 area code.
The best local internet provider on the planet as far as I'm concerned---with 56K service (some areas even have DSL service) and coverage throughout the Central Coast---is Surfari.net...
Surfari Internet is located in my hometown---beautiful and charming Arroyo Grande.
Surfari Network Information Provider Services! I've been very happy with the TCSN reliability since the merger/takeover/whatever you want to call it...so, if on the Central Coast, give 'em your business...(grin)...

Here are some of my favorite sports links...gosh, I gotta update this too...
The LOIS BBS System, going strong since December 22nd,1986 (yes, with a few glitches, we're sorry about that) has been a part of my life since August 1991, and just a great local chat board! Trex , located in Mountain View, is LOIS' Silicon Valley counterpart.
Take a look at Pete's (Communicator's) pages! They're just as he left'em for the most part but more news will be coming about updating Pete's pages with new and updated links---it's a goal for this quarter as I have a bunch of pictures, etc!
