Ken and Dorothy Myers' celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary with their children, grandchildren, and special guests on the Big Island of Hawaii. This photo was taken during the reunion celebration in Hilo on July 5th: Ken & Dorothy are in the middle surrounded by Dale, Carol, Renee', Mike, Daphne, and Jessee. Absent members of Ken and Dorothy's family in this portrait are Amy, who was there but missed get into the pic, and Russ who stayed home to work.
Dale recorded on video cam our interview with Ken and Dorothy, asking them the secrets to their sixty years of marriage. Dorothy wisely replied that the secret was just taking it one day at a time, and shared other tips for the making of an enduring marriage. Then son Dale, daughter Carol, and grandchildren Renee' and Mike, shared memories of the fun times of their childhood spent with their Mother/Grandmother and Father/Grandfather.
An album of pictures of the specical events of the Myers family was presented to Ken and Dorothy. It included the below photos of Ken and Dorothy's wedding, and restored photos of their parents taken near their wedding dates. At the top is Ken and Dorothy, the next picture is of John and Carrie Myers, then Merritt and Wilma Warren.
