Internet Explorer 3.0x Mail Settings for Windows 3.xx

First, you will need to load your Mail Program by clicking on the "Mail" icon in the Internet program group, our by loading it from within your Internet Explorer Browser by clicking on the "Mail" button on the main toolbar. This will open the window you see below. Now, select "Mail" from the text options across the top of the window and then click on "Options". Just as the image below has it demonstrated. After this, scroll down the page to the next image to check your E-Mail settings.

Main Mail Window

When the "Options" window opens, you will see five selections across the top as binding tabs. You will want to select the tab "Server" to open the window shown below. Check to make sure your settings are all matched to these. Anywhere on this image that it refers to "visitor", is where you will want to put your "username". Like jerris or jerris@surfari.net is what I would use in place of "visitor". Insure that the "SMTP" and "POP3" host names are the same as shown below. Your "password" would be the password you use for your account at Surfari Internet. You use the same names for your mail as you do for your dial-up connection. Click on the "Apply" button to save your new settings. Sometimes it takes closing the mail program all the way and then reloading it to get the changes to work.
